Parrera PA1411 White Ceramic Chrono

The fashionable watches of Parrera have been designed by a jewellers family that has been designing watches and jewellery for several generations. The Parrera ceramic watch collection consists of seven families, totaling 30 different references. All watches are made with Swiss movements, have scratch resistant crystals and are 5 bar waterproof.

All Parrera models are made of High-tech ceramic since it is very skin-friendly and anti-allergic for many people, and gives a nice feeling to the wrist. The components of a Parrera watch are made of zirconium oxide, a powder-like material that gets its final shape after extreme heating during an exclusive technical procedure. The result is scratch-proof ceramic that gets its marvelous glow after a final diamond polish. The extreme durability of high-tech ceramic has been proven several times in an impressive way. For instance, it is used in kitchens, operation rooms, ball bearings and for heat shields of space shuttles.

Parrera is only sold at leading retailers and etailers around the world. Please make sure to buy from an authorised Parrera ambassador. Please contact us if you think you have encountered a replica.

Ceramic

Ceramic materials for watches are the only ones out there that create pure white or black colors that do not fade, change color or loose their luster. Ceramic is a sensitive material. But Parrera has been successful to modify it according to their need; making it more stable and strong. With this permanence, the ceramic watches have a nice glow in their white colored case and bracelet. As the ceramic watches are counted as a luxury product, Parrera managed to make a luxury fashion item that is affordable! Parrera watches will give you the exact classy look that you expect from a ceramic watch. On top of that the ceramic does not get ruined easily and fully scratch proof, you have to watch out not to drop your Parrera watch. Although the ceramic Parrera uses is scratch free, it will break when dropped or banged against a hard surface.

Sapphire Crystal

The most desirable watch glasses are made out of either synthetic or genuine sapphire. Commonly synthetic sapphire is uses, like in all Parrera watches. This is made out of crystalised aluminum oxide, it has the same physical properties as the natural gem frequently used in jewellery but without the colouring. It is the most expensive way to create a watch glass but the advantage is that the glass is incredibly durable. Sapphire rates 9 on the Moh scale, (that is the scale that measures the relative hardness of all materials) and is just behind diamond which measures 10. Of all the glasses it is the least likely to shatter or be scratched.

Swiss Watch Movements

Parrera watches are made of the best materials and parts available. As Swiss watch movements are considered the best watch movements out there. All Parrera watches have a Swiss made watch movement from the top manufacturers. At the heart of all the Parrera Chronographs beats the high-end ISASWISS 8172-calibre. At the heart of all the Parrera 40mm Date watches beats a Ronda 505S-calibre. And, At the heart of all the Parrera 30mm Date watches beats a Ronda 775-calibre. As we are proud to manufacture our watches with these high precision watch movements, we made the original instruction manuals of these calibers available on our download page.

Water Resistance

All Parrera watches have a water resistance of 5 bars, which means that it is suitable for swimming, white water rafting, non-snorkeling water related work, and fishing. This excludes diving in to the water. There is a lot of confusion surrounding the term water resistance and water proof watches… Water Resistant is a common mark stamped on the back of wrist watches to indicate how well a watch is sealed against ingress of water. It is usually accompanied by an indication of the static test pressure that a sample of newly manufactured watches was exposed to in a leakage test. The test pressure can be indicated either directly in bars, atmospheres, or (more commonly) as an equivalent water depth in meters (in the United States sometimes also in feet). Only watches that have a resistance of at least 20 bars are suitable for diving. In case you will use your Parrera watch around and in water a lot, make sure to have the water resistance tested every 12 months, as the rubbers inside the watch will dry out and will need to be replaced.
